LensTalk Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 7, 2026

LensTalk is an early-stage (alpha) platform connecting photographers with clients — helping photographers learn their craft, market their work, and earn from it. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect today, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Because LensTalk is still in an early build-and-test phase, this policy is intentionally scoped to our current practices — not aspirational ones. We do not yet process payments, and our AI assistant (Alensa) does not edit, modify, or enhance your photos. As we launch new features (bookings, marketplace transactions, expanded AI functionality), we will update this policy before those features go live, and we'll note the change here.

LensTalk currently operates in the United States and Canada only, and this Service is offered in English only.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you interact with us:

1. Waitlist Signups

If you join our waitlist through the form on our public website, we collect your name and email address. We use this to notify you about LensTalk's launch and early access opportunities.

2. Website Usage Data (Analytics)

We use web analytics tools on our public website to understand how visitors find and use our site (e.g., page views, session duration, referral source, general device/browser type, and approximate geographic location such as city/region). This data is aggregated and does not include your name or email unless you separately submit it via a form.

3. Account Data (if you sign up)

If you create a LensTalk account, we collect the information you provide during registration and profile setup — such as your name, email address, password (stored securely, hashed), and any profile details you choose to add. Account data is stored and managed through our backend infrastructure and database provider.

4. Business Contact Information (Cold Outreach)

As part of building our photographer network, we collect publicly available business contact information (such as business name, email address, phone number, website, and social profiles) about prospective photography businesses from public sources (e.g., business directories, public websites, public social media profiles). We use this information to send outreach communications inviting these businesses to join LensTalk.

We do not currently collect payment information, government ID, or biometric data.

We use the information described above to:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to train third-party advertising systems.

We do not currently use advertising pixels, retargeting cookies, or third-party ad networks.

Cold Outreach to Photography Businesses

LensTalk grows its photographer network in part by identifying and contacting prospective photography businesses using publicly available business contact information. These outreach emails are sent through our transactional/outreach email delivery provider.

If you receive an outreach email from us and do not wish to be contacted again, every message includes a way to opt out — or you can email us directly at the contact address below and we will remove your information from future outreach.

Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate LensTalk. Each is used only for the specific purpose below, and none are permitted to use your data for their own marketing purposes:
